2014 Resolutions!

Ok, so last year I made 4 Life Resolutions and 4 Writing Resolutions... and, as I discussed, I barely did half of them.  But I'm pretty happy about the ones that I did complete, so that's something.

I think 4 of each is pretty reasonable, so I'm going to do the same this year and hope that I do a better job of living up to them =P

Life Resolutions
1. Either go to dance class or the gym at least twice a week (much more specific than just saying "lose weight")
2. Pay off at least two credit cards fully (yeah, more than last year, but I'm closer to actually doing it this year)
3. Get some culture - see at least 5 live shows, either in person or using the MET / ballet live feeds at the movie theater
4. Go to a strip club (re-hashing this one)

Writing Resolutions
1. Publish at least 2 books in the Stronghold series (That would be Rick's book and Patrick & Lexie's book ;)
2. Complete the Domestic Discipline Quartet
3. Publish the book version of Marriage Training
4. Complete these three series for Literotica: Homeschooled, Tomboy Tease and From Terra

Bonus Resolution
Yeah I'm having a bonus resolution for my penname - I'd like to get at least two more Dark Angel books out this year, if not more =)

So there's a lot that I'm looking forward to this year!  I'll be sad to finish off the Domestic Discipline Quartet, but excited to move onto the series that is going to be set in the Marriage Training world - The Society of Sin series - and I can't wait to get further into the Stronghold characters and their stories =)  I'm also excited about finally getting to write something super dark and trying out new things with Taken by the Wolf.

Happy New Year!  Let's do this!

  1. First of all Congrats on achieving the resolutions you did achieve, I dont know many people who can say even that much. This looks to be an interesting year, yay for exciting things to look forward to. I love your resolutions and if I am not too nosy I would love to know the reason behind the strip club one, you made me curious. ;)

I have no resolutions just things I want to do better since resolutions dont ever work for me. I want to do everything better, and enjoy what I do. Lets see how it goes huh?

Happy New year! May 2014 be even better than 2013 and the best yet!

    1. Thank you so much!

And the only reason behind the strip club is that I've never been to one. I wanted to go to one before I turned thirty (which happened this year) and didn't make it, so yeah LOL.

I think that's a pretty darn good resolution, to do things better and enjoy what you do =) Sounds like fun to me!

      Happy New Year!

  2. WOW...so many resolutions you make my head spin and I feel like a total slacker! Best of luck with all of them and I sooo can't wait for Patrick & Lexie's book most of all.

  3. Ambitious - but you can do it. I'd go along with most of them, but the shows and even movies are just out of reach for us tropical beach combers.

    1. aw that stinks. I'm lucky that there's always at least one movie theater within a thirty minute drive that's showing the live feeds. It's pretty awesome.

  4. Yes, well, we have other compensations. The Great Barrier Reef is only 20 minutes away and now, in the still days before the monsoon arrives, half the village is out fishing every day. Getting anything done is difficult but, hey, there's more to life than work.

You have to come and visit - we have a spare room always ready for visitors.
