New Release - Breaking the Chain

Sorry guys - Breaking the Chain actually came out yesterday on Amazon and Smashwords but it STILL isn't out for the Nook.  I have no idea why Barnes & Noble is taking so long, but I decided I'm not waiting for them any longer, I'm gonna go ahead and post!  And I'll just update this entry when they finally catch up (hopefully tomorrow?)

Jared and Leigh both know what it's like to be trapped in a seven year relationship where they give more than they get, the question is whether or not they can move on from them.

Two steps forward, one step back. That's how Jared's life feels when it comes to his ex Marissa. Every time he thinks he's escaped the vortex of her emotional demands, she ends up sucking him right back in; but for the first time, he thinks he might have the strength to pull free entirely. At least he hopes so. Right now it just seems like he's hurting everyone around him and he doesn't know how to make it right.

Leigh Douglas spent seven years with the man she thought she would one day marry, but she's now realized that she needs him to fight just as hard for her as she always fought for him. Since he won't, she's working on getting over him and finding someone who won't take her for granted. On the other side of the equation, she's definitely falling for Jared, but he's still entangled with his ex. No one can understand the hooks that Marissa has in him like Leigh can, but that doesn't mean that she's willing to take the back-seat again in another relationship.

As Jared tries to side-step his ex and Leigh takes her first steps into the domination and submission-filled world of the Stronghold club, their friends hold a collective breath as everyone wonders whose heart will be broken in the end.

  3. Reading it now and loving it just as much as I thought I would. One little thing that jarred for me: in Mastering Lexie Freddy is described as bi, but in Breaking the Chain he is "decidedly straight."

    1. Whoops, one of my beta readers pointed that out to me too and I thought I fixed that - thank you for letting me know I missed one of the places I referenced that!

  4. Sorry for asking here, not sure where else to ask. What happened to the Ricky's Daughter series, and is it coming back?

    1. I'm so sorry, but it is not. I made the decision to take down a lot of my stories from Lit, for various reasons, and that was one of them.

  5. I loved it! Super hot. And Leigh took so well to the kink!
One inconsistency I noticed was with Patrick and Lexie and their collaring arrangement. I thought Lexie has a blue sapphire collar that she wears all the time, but here you said Patrick was having something made. Just thought I'd let you know!! xx

    1. She has a blue collar that matches her eyes, but Patrick's have a permanent collar made that she won't ever be able to (or need to) take off - it'll look like a necklace but not to those in the know =)

  6. Bought it right on the release date, but got sidetracked and only just now got around to reading it...almost in one sitting (!) If that doesn't say it, I'll make it clearer: quite possibly the best of the series (yet) imho. Also, I really enjoyed that even after not having read anything in the series for so long, you brought it all back to mind while laying out Jared's and Leigh's engaging story (no pun intended) in your wonderful style. And yes...the ending...you are naughty! All the best.
