Had half of a snow day today! Which was nice. Got some extra writing done =)
I'm about 2/3 of the way through the next chapter of Taken by the Wolf and it's going very quickly! Which is awesome. I'm going in a very different direction than I think some people realized, going by the comments on Chapter 2, but that's good... I'd hate to fall into the trap of doing the same thing over and over. Hopefully people still like it even though it's different. I'm hoping to finish it either tomorrow or Thursday and get it submitted.
As usual, my book characters have been jerking me around a bit, showing me that they're really the ones in charge. That's always fun though because it leads to unexpected scenes and fun things that I think make the book more real since it's not exactly what I plotted out from the beginning. Fortunately, unlike Angel and Adam, my Domestic Discipline characters only seem to be making smaller changes within the scenes that don't actually change the rest of the outline... just the scene. And I'm having SO much fun with it, which I hope means that it will be particularly fun to read!
I'm still waiting for Amazon to decide whether or not they're going to publish my next Dark Angel book. They seem really on the fence about it, although I've now changed both the title and the book description. They've def got more stringent standards about erotica now. *sigh* I'm going to get it out eventually, one way or another. Definitely trying my hardest at any rate.
Good news on the Nook front - Birching His Bride, Dealing With Discipline and Gentleman's Maid are now all available for the Nook! Along with all the previously mentioned titles =) I don't know if I'm going to be able to get any Dark Angel titles up there; B&N is even more stringent than Amazon, and both of them are cracking down lately.
Sigh... wearing my fingers to little nubs with all the writing I've been doing lately, but I'm in the mooooood... and when the mood wave comes, I've gotta catch it and ride it out for as long as possible!
Always a good sign when your characters take charge of the story. It means they are coming to life, and that means you have a good story on your hands.
ReplyDeleteAmazon really is a pain over what they will or will not print. I have to do two covers for my books - the real one and a censored version for the prudes. Wouldn't be so bad if A wasn't making a fortune out of our sexy books.
You'll find it helps to be writing for a respectable label - like Yellow Silk...
